From Image to Heirloom: Custom Chinese Character Family Surname Ring in Brass

When a Customer's Vision Becomes a Family Legacy
Some projects stop you in your tracks. This was one of them.
A customer reached out with a personal request: he wanted a ring featuring his family's Chinese character surname, something he and his family could wear as a shared symbol of identity and heritage. He sent through his image, and we got to work.

Step 1: The Concept
We started by creating a digital concept render based on his image, a close representation of what the finished ring may look like. The result? Stunning. A square-faced brass ring with the Chinese character boldly centred, warm gold tones giving it a premium, timeless feel. Which he approved so we started....

Step 2: The Wax Mold
Once the concept was approved, we moved into production. A wax mold template was hand-crafted to capture every detail of the design, the precise character, the square face profile, and the ring shank. This is where the magic startes to take shape.
Step 3: Casting the Metal
The wax mold was then used to cast the ring in brass, giving it that rich, warm gold colour that suits this kind of meaningful, heritage piece perfectly. The metal is poured, set, and cooled before the real finishing work begins.
Step 4: The Finished Ring
After polishing and finishing, the final ring was nothing short of a statement piece. Bold, personal, and built to be passed down. Exactly what he asked for and then some.
